This post is a bit of a retro blog. I shot this last summer while in Puerto Vallarta!
It was an amazing day as they all are while on vacation. I was amongst family and so it was that much better. I had talked my niece into bringing with her on vacation one of her dresses. You see she is an amazing Mexican Folkloric dancer in Guadalajara. If you have never seen Mexican folk dancers you are missing out! Currently an awesome group is touring the US, Amalia Hernandez’s Ballet Folklorico de Mexico. I have never seen her but one of my friend’s just saw her and said I should go. So in a few weeks when they are in the Bay Area I just might go see them!
I had so much fun hanging out with her as I always do. I’m just a little bit sad that she lives so far away and can’t hang out with her more often!

I hope you enjoy these images as much as we enjoyed shooting them!!
Oh yea there’s a bunch because I had so many favorites!!
ok one more set!
Nandhi mil gracias por cargar con tu vestido! Para la proxima te traes mas!!

They say that what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas. NOT so for this couple. Salina was in Vegas for a girls trip from California. Adam was there on a boys trip from New York!! They met and Salina said they hung out till way late having instantly bonded. Adam knew he couldn’t be apart from her and moved across the country to be with her. (awwwwwww!) Adam’s family is still back East and will be flying in for this event along with his boys! I look forward to meeting everyone. And when they see how nice the weather is here (please weather act right) they might even move here!!
A few weeks ago I gave you guys a little teaser to this engagement session.. well here is the full session!
It was a very cold day in San Francisco despite it being about 100 degrees in San Jose. The drastic weather change caused for us to truly appreciate all the hard work models put in, especially when they are required to shoot in bikinis in beautiful and crazy locations such as Alaska. Here is an attempt of modeling and not looking cold.

The little one wasn’t too happy about the weather (nor the camera). How cute is she??? I know she will make an adorable flower girl and give me a great work out, because I’ll have to chase her around!
I love this family portrait of all of them.

Salina & Adam are a super fun couple they joked around throughout the whole session. I’m sure their marriage will be full of love, laughter & fun.
I don’t think they expected to get in the cold ocean & get wet but with me you never know what’s going to happen!
Salina might kill me (after the wedding) for posting this but I thought it was cute. I had asked Adam to approach and kiss Salina in a very sexy- seductive fashion. UM and this is what happened.
I can’t wait until the wedding! It’s going to be so much fun! Wait till you see Salina’s dress!!! I haven’t seen it nor pictures but she’s described bits and pieces and I’m soo excited!! And seriously as cute as this couple is they could get married in pajamas!!
I leave you with one last image. A very typical San Francisco foggy day with the Golden Gate bridge playing Peek A Boo!

As promised last week here! A maternity session is so special it deserves it’s own post.
The following images show how beautiful Debi’s baby bump is! As well as how much love both parents have for each other & for their little one.
Maternity sessions are fun especially in today’s age where the Baby Bump is shown off ( not like in the past where it was hidden under loose clothes (the moo moo) and never ever shown off.
I look forward to meeting your little one!! I wish the 3 of you much happiness in your future!

First I must say- I am sooo excited that I was chosen as their wedding photographer. This is one of the nicest couples I have ever met, and they are really up for anything. Well- Nanette more than Emilio – but after some coaxing even Emilio was frolocking in the (cold) Pacific Ocean.
there’s a ton of pictures… I had a really hard time picking just a top 3 or 4 or 5…
The first is a diptych- these two kiddies were absolutely adorable. I can’t wait to see them all dressed up- and since they are twin boys- I’;m sure that will mean DOUBLE TROUBLE- which will make for some fabulous shots!!
The boys were looking for dolphins or whales… But really there was a better chance of spotting a shark. It felt like a scene from a dream you know the one..where you are standing there on a beach looking for something hoping for just a glimpse…
I leave you with a final image… Not the end but
to be continued….

…decided to go a back to the location where their engagement photos were taken- Natural Bridges. (not by me- although I was at the wedding), to do their first official family portrait with their 10 month baby girl.
I was very honored to get a call from a longtime friend asking me to do this very special portrait session for them. After much planning the day finally arrived! I was very nervous, what if the beautiful weather was a facade and over the hill it was muggy cold very overcast. Or worse what if the sun was shining soooo hard that all the pictures would be blown out??!!
Upon arrival to Natural Bridges in Santa Cruz CA I let out a deep sigh- the weather was perfect, a bit chilly but only by California standards.
and by baby standards as the little one found it a bit cold and shivered through a few shots before being wrapped in a blanket. She was a complete trooper and a joy to shot. I even had the joy of watching ( and photographing) as she discovered sand and its texture!! well enough of my blabbing..see for yourselves.

Many thanks guys! Can’t wait to do it again!!
