Family Portraits in San Jose, CA

Hello everyone! It’s been a super fun season and we have had some amazing weather here in the San Francisco Bay Area. I’m so excited to share these family portraits. We had so much fun that if I just told you how much fun we had you would think I was making it up. And you know what they say, seeing is believing so be sure to check out the video at the end.

Meet the “funnest” family ever! (Yes I do know funnest isn’t a word- I totally made it up)

Mom & dad are so awesome with son J. Everyone laughed, made silly faces, snuck up on each other, ran, climbed trees, hugged and kissed!  The only thing missing was ….. hmm nothing IT was a perfect evening!

Family Portraits

A million years ago I met up with this family for portraits.  I love love love shooting their portraits each year and watching this little guy grow.  The first time I took their family portraits he was so little (see him here)  and as the years have gone by .. he’s grown and grown. (and see him here too)

My time with this family is always so much fun, we laugh together, jump, skip and then after our session we have started a tradition of going to dinner together. I’m not sure what’s the best part of the day laughing with them or eating with them!

daddy and me portraits mommy and me portraitsThe relationship this little boy has with each of his parents is so amazing and tender to watch, and the upbringing his parents are giving him shows in his relationship with others!  His cousin joined them on this session and together they had so much fun goofing off.

Family portraits in San Juan Bautista

Family portraits in San Juan Bautista is how this couple celebrating 10 years of marriage kicked off their day. WOO HOO!! This is where they were married,  so of course this was the perfect spot to come celebrate!!

As I was thinking back on all the years I have known this couple I remembered the time Mrs. Best Laugh EVER (you’ll see later) called me to schedule a top secret portrait session of her and their brand new baby girl. Unfortunately after the session she couldn’t keep a secret. OMG read about how that went down here.

So anyways…. fast forward another baby and many years later to today and here we are celebrating TEN YEARS!!!

Happy Happy ten year anniversary!!

family portraitsI will admit.. my FAVORITE thing about family sessions is always seeing the diverse yet similar personalities the kids have in comparison to their parents. I’m so fascinated by this.

This next picture was a must have of big sister. She was so adorable choreographing it. The outtakes are pretty funny..but exclusive to mom and dad.. so You will have to ask them to show you.

And because I’m a kid at heart I love it when toys are held onto dearly .. and become part of the family’s portraits.  These moments where mom wishes her child would put down that darn toy  are the moments that make for great stories in say  20, 30, 40  years down the road.. when this little boy has a child of his own obsessed by that toy that must be in all the family portraits!

This says it all.. 10 Years of happiness!

First Day of School Portraits for little Miss O

Each fall I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE seeing all the cute first day of school snapshots you all take and post on facebook. Imagine my excitement as this cutie’s mom called me to ask if I would do her First Day of School pictures. I was in heaven!!! Little Miss O had just been accepted into pre-school and was starting now instead of waiting until Fall.

I was so excited to share her first day  of school with her. She has grown so much since the first time I met her. See her here
