I am so excited to post this engagement session!!
Damian & Adrienn were absolutely amazing! Not only are they super cute and totally in love, they are also the funnest couple ever.
The whole session they teased each other, goofed off and totally ROCKED IT! And I haven’t even talked about their son, Ethan, who came along. He almost stole the show!! ok secretly he did but don’t tell the love birds
Check him out:
and check out his hair!! LOVE IT!
He definitely is amazing in front of the camera. Here I told him we would play a little game of follow the leader.
I had a blast! I can’t wait until their wedding! I’m sure we are going to have so much fun.
If you want to see even more images check out their slideshow and see how silly they got!!
Adrienn & Damian Thank you soo much for being a super fun couple see you very soon!! Don’t forget to leave a note in the comment area.

I had the great pleasure of photographing the talented, not to mention beautiful Josephine Harmon! She’s not only an amazing person who I call a friend, she is also an incredibly talented make up artist! I highly recommend her.
Having a professional make up artist do your make-up for any photo session makes a world of difference! Not only does it help perfect your skin (without cosmetic surgery
) but you also feel ultra pampered and special. During the shoot you can play up that Diva feeling and have fun!!
ok so back to Josephine’s session.
She did a mother-daughter session, which is just in time for Mother’s day!! Her mom was such a natural in front of the camera and absolutely beautiful. I think she may have modeled at some point in her life. I really do!! I asked but she said no. Hmmm What do you guys think?
This session was a bit challenging at first because Josie’s mom is deaf, and I’m used to chatting directly with people during sessions. And if you know me I’m a total chatterbox.
However, Josie translated and did a great job and some of what her mom was signing I understood. So I asked Josie’s mom to tell me a story about Josie when she was a kid and she told me that Josie used to eat a lot and was a fat baby!! I absolutely understood that -no translation needed.
The session was full of laughter as you can see in so many of these images. I had the best time ever watching the special relationship between Josie and her mom.
Thank you ladies!! Can’t wait to see you two again.
And Josie I can’t wait to work with you on another wedding/portrait session!!!!

I love the Herrera family! They are absolutely hands down one of my all time favorite families! I’ve talked about them and shot them many times. You can see them here, here and probably a few more places and in a few months you will see this little one turn ONE!
Together they know how to have fun and joke around which I always love! Seriously I love silly faces and hugs and giggles. So I always make time for that.
However on this day it was all about the little one, getting ready for her baptism. The official welcoming into God’s family!
Her godparents came out for the occasion!
When I’m shooting I always like to interact with whoever I’m shooting and this cutie told me her dress was very tasty and that is why she couldn’t stop trying to eat it.
And for instant gratification .. here is her big sister showing her off

When they say the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree they must be talking about this beautiful daughter and her gorgeous mother! She is the epitome of classic beauty!!
Although you only get a tiny sneak peek…. I can guarantee the rest of the session is as beautiful if not MORE!!!
Leave a comment tell me what you think so far!

I seriously love doing portraits in the park each Spring! It’s a great opportunity for you to come out and get a quick session done in between the holidays and the new school season. And an even better opportunity for me to see you and a chance to catch up!!
That is exactly what the beautiful Rose Anna and I did.
I loved getting to know her boys a little and had so much fun chasing them around. Truthfully I was TIRED by the time we wrapped up. I have posted a ton of images of these cute boys and their fun expressions!!
How cute is this next set? Video games will teach kids the funniest things.
I couldn’t even pick a favorite I loved so many. Do you have a favorite? If so which one?
Ok maybe this one is my favorite. Mostly for the emotion and the bond between a mom and her “baby” that it portrays.

I know I’ve said it before but I LOVE San Francisco.
I take many leisurely strolls throughout SF always trying to pick a new way to explore between destinations. I enjoy these walks because it gives me a chance to try a new approach to my photography. I challenge myself to not dismiss anything as plain or not worthy. Sometimes the means of seeing are a Holga, an all manual 35 mm camera or simply my handy iPhone.
How do you challenge yourself to see the otherwise unseen in your daily life? Please tell me in the comment area below.
Here are a few of this week’s findings.
Enjoy!

Have you heard the news?! A bunch of strangers jumped on a bus in San Francisco, California heading to Austin, Texas their motto SXSW or bust! This crazy idea was conceived after a few beers with pals by Elias Bizannes. The idea spread like fire with TechCrunch catching wind of it and before he knew it the wild ride began!!
There’s definitely more to that story and you should not only read but follow their adventures on the blog here.
I had a chance to join them on their first stop to Hewlett Packard to meet with Phil McKinney, VP & CTO for the Personal Systems Group at HP. He gave an awesome talk to the group and a little history of the origins of Silicon Valley. My inner geek came out, as I enjoyed the talk!! McKinney has an awesome blog which speaks to innovation, let your inner geek come out and follow him.
There is some very cool technology at HP & my personal favorite below a machine that spits out pretty pictures!
There’s a few girls on the bus!! So you know lots of cool products will come out
A ton of Aussies
And here is the whole gang!
As The StartUp Bus got ready to hit the road I quickly checked out their accommodations for the next few days and I can say I am not jealous at all! Cramped quarters. I hope they all make it in one piece.

yesterday was awesome!
First I would like to thank Mother Nature for giving me a day full of Perfect light! THANK YOU!!! Next I would like to thank the families that came out! I had a blast and by the end of the day … my outfit was covered in mud, leaves, grass stains and sweat!! That is a sign of a fun day!!
Here’s ONE sneak peek. I love this baby! Her mom booked a bellies to babies collection with me so I do see them every few months. But wanted to get in an extra session to honor her daughter’s upcoming baptism. More on that later.
I will be rolling out a few sneak peeks and full posts in the upcoming weeks.
Stay tuned! If you missed out send me an email or leave me a comment and I will add you to my mailing list for advance notice next time I run a mini-session special!
