Happy 1st Birthday!!

I had the pleasure of Photographing a very special time. A first borns 1st birthday. Of course all child’s birthday’s are important well into adulthood, however a first child is like that trial run. Or at least that is what I a non-child having person thinks. The first year is a time for new experiences and definitely new headaches. New things learned and such. I’ve always heard people with children say after the first one it’s like riding a bike. Um well- ok I also don’t know how to ride a bike- but that is entirely another whole posting.

In today’s day and age holiday’s and time of celebration are all marked by the appearance of specialty items at places like Target. Unfortunately by those measure’s I am very late to writing this entry. By Target’s measure’s I should have posted on this topic back in Dec.
I ran into Target on Dec. 24th minutes before they closed and about 30 minutes after the time I had said I would be at my parents house. yea – oops. anyways, as I was running towards the dog food aisle, ( HA! Not there to buy a last minute present- although I did find a few more items for my nephews), there it was ALL THE VALENTINE’S items. It was pretty sad- Christmas Eve, beautifully wrapped presents under the trees, Egg Nog lattes still being served at your local Starbucks ( which is also located inside Target I might add), and Poinsettas still in full bloom. SAD SAD SAD- but alas.. 1 month later here I am posting. and about 2.5 weeks away from Valentines Day.
I know I’ve already rambled enough but really quick, a little reminder on the significance of Valentine’s Day: February 14th a day to remember your loved ones, or to declare your love to someone. Read more on Wikipedia
I am running a special on Boudoir sessions from now till the end of February. Drop me a note if you would like to schedule something. These sessions typically run 2 hours, a Make-Up artist is also available and recommended.








Being sick is no fun. Boo :-(

It’s currently 59 degrees and I’m talking about in my house. Man! Isn’t California supposed to be nice and warm year round?? Well- It definitely hasn’t been so around here, in fact it’s so cold I was sick all weekend. And not just sniffle sniffle kinda sick but full blown I had to keep my mouth open in order to breathe kinda sick. Gross! ok maybe that was TMI but  do you feel me??
I was feeling better today- although not by much. Hopefully the week will get better and maybe start to warm up soon. Please oh please I miss the summer!!! 
I took this back on the last day of last year, aka a couple of weeks ago.  What a good looking Mutt is I do say so myself! Oh and if you are wondering- Yes I do have Pet Portraiture packages available. I also welcome pets on family shoots! Hey they are our best friends, dogs, cats, turtles, snakes I’m pet friendly!! What can I say, they will always listen to us and don’t sass us back, too often.
